Enjoy natural refreshing tasty teas specially formulated by Hippopot Herbs
We have a variety of teas for different seasons: summer, winter, Christmas, for different times of the day: morning, afternoon, evening and for different ages: children, teens, adults.
Hippopot Teas are made exclusively from dried herbs and (in some blends) fruits. We don’t use anything from the tea plant. As such, they are not really “tea”. The proper name is “tisane”. But most people call these herbal infusions, “tea”. And we are happy to go along with that. Just so long as you know that Hippopot Teas contain no green or black tea, no caffeine, and certainly no additives or preservatives. Just natural herbs for you to enjoy!
Accessories including pots, strainers, and cups are available.
Our blends are prepared by Alice Nugent, a qualified herbalist (University of Westminster, BSc Hons), and a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH) and the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy (CPP).
Where does the name Hippopot come from?
The founder of Hippopot, Alice Nugent, recalls as a child seeing families of hippopotamus chilling in the waters of the Zambezi river between Zimbabwe, Zambia and Mozambique.
She hopes you will be as chilled as the hippo when you drink Hippopot tea!
